Lynn University Students Continue Accomplishing Their Goals After Graduation

Many Lynn graduates have gone on to do amazing things in their career fields after their college days have ended to achieve their future career goals.

Samantha Samarelli, class of 2020, majored in psychology during her time at Lynn. She graduated after just two and a half years and immediately began at Palm Beach Atlantic to receive her master's degree in clinical mental health counseling and crisis trauma therapy.

During her time at Palm Beach Atlantic, Samarelli also completed an internship at the Faulk Center for Counseling. Here, she was able to get real-world experience in the field of clinical mental health counseling and make connections with other interns who shared the same passion as her. This past December, Samarelli received her degree after completing her year-and-a-half-long master's program.

Following her master's degree, Samarelli received several job offers and is currently working with the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association as a registered mental health counselor intern. With this job, she can meet with patients as their therapist and build up her clientele.

“If I had to go in the future and tell you where I want to be I would love to have my own practice,” said Samarelli. “This would be with two of my best friends that I met at my Faulk Center internship”.

Samarelli currently is living in Delray Beach, Florida where she plans to further advance her career in clinical mental health counseling.

Nicholas Civette, class of 2022, is furthering his education at the Lynn College of Aeronautics, where he spent a lot of time during his undergraduate years. During his undergraduate years, Civette earned his Private Pilot, Instrument, and commercial certifications, but he does not want to stop at just that. Although he has already graduated, Civette has continued to utilize the school’s flight program to receive certifications necessary for his future career path.

“Currently I am working on becoming a certified flight instructor instrument which is someone who is able to teach instrument procedures,” said Civette. “With this, I would be able to get a flight instructing job possibly at Lynn University’s College of Aeronautics”.

With the certifications Civette has already received he would be qualified to receive several jobs including beach banner towing, aerial photography/ surveying, and parachute jumping. He is currently living in Bonita Springs, Florida, but frequently comes back to Boca Raton for flight training at Lynn and to see friends in the area.

Jake Moll, class of 2022, took a very different approach to post-Lynn life. Ever since he was little, Moll has known he wanted to move to the Florida Keys and start his own fishing charter business, which he is currently taking the steps to achieve in the near future.

“I’ve dreamed of living here my entire life,” said Moll. “Fishing is all I’ve ever loved to do, and this is a way where I can make a career out of it”.

Moll grew up in Parkland, Florida, and would frequently visit his grandpa’s condo in Islamorada where he learned to love fishing. During his undergraduate years, Moll would go down to Islamorada most weekends to spend time fishing with his family.

He is currently working at the Tackle Center of Islamorada on weekdays, where he networks with fellow charter captains who come in. On the weekends, he can be found on charter boats as a mate or fishing with his friends and family.

Although these three former Lynn students have very different career paths, each of them is accomplishing amazing things and taking the necessary steps to make their dreams a reality.
