The Ask: Increase awareness of iPulse on the Lynn University campus through the social media channels Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook

The Target Audience: Members of the Lynn University community (parents, faculty, students, etc.)

Role: Social Media Editor (2023-2024) & Social Media Director (2024-2025)

iPulse News is the award-winning news organization at Lynn University. The organization includes a weekly newspaper publication, live TV show, and several podcast shows. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization struggled to get new members and continue their growth. In January, 2023, I became a member of the Social Media team for iPulse, where I created graphics highlighting weekly articles. While these graphics were effective, there was no concrete strategy behind them.

 

Therefore, once I returned to campus the following semester, I began creating video content highlighting campus life and events. This change was able to help us increase our reach by 708% and our engagement by 1,793% within my first 90 days as the Social Media Editor. At the conclusion of the school year, I was promoted to Social Media Director, where I continued creating strategy-based content, while managing our social media team.
